Aloha,
I know it been awhile since the last post. But like they say its better late than never.
Here the latest scoops....Devin got to surf and chill with some cool brada's from RVCA. He also recently got picked up by RVCA. It's safe to say that Devin is super stoked. Much Mahalo's to RVCA for hooking Devin up.
Devin just picked up two more shred sticks from Dennis Pang Surfboards. Then he laced them up with all his sponsors stickers. Now the boards are ready for action. Mahalo Dennis!!

Well that is for now. I hope you and your families have a great holiday season!!!

End of a surf season and a start of another

Wow is all I can say about the last two months. Devin competed in the NSSA nationals at lowers and Surfing America at Huntington. First was lowers...Lowers was all time. It was about 3 to 4 feet the whole time we at lowers. During Devins heat of the 11 and under, the waves weren't showing as it was earlier. Devin surfed really well but he ended up just missing the next round by a .02. So our time at lowers came to an end and it was time to move on to Huntington to practice.
Devin had two NSSA divisions (Mini grom and super grom) to compete in. In the mini grom the same thing happen again, he need a .3 to advance. But in the super grom he advanced to the quarter finals and just missing the semi's in fourth. And with that our national run came to an end.
Overall it was a great experience for Devin. But he did surf really well and now he knows what to expect when it comes to national level surfing next year.
We want to thank Aerial7, Ransom, and FCS for hooking Devin up. Aerial7 mahalo letting us hang out and hooking the kids up with some sick headphones. Also Ransom once again for letting the Cru from Hawaii come through. FCS for hooking devin up with some new FCS fins.
A Huge Mahalo goes out to the Blanco's for putting up with the brue cru for three weeks. Can't thank you guys enough.

It was a great trip and end of a surf season. Now we are on the Garden Isle to start the new surf season. Let's do this!!!

Till next time peace...

HSA State Championships

Aloha,
If you didn't know Devin and Nicole surfed in the HSA State Championships at Ala Moana Bowls this past week. The conditions at Bowls couldn't have been any better... 2 -3 feet with occasional 4 footer rolling through.

Nicole surfed in the Girls 12-13 division. She surfed in one of the first heats of the day. The waves wasn't in perfect form yet, but there was some good ones to be had. Nicole surfed really well in her heat and was able to advance to the semi final. In the semi's, she was once again surfing really well but didn't get that one wave she needed to advance to the finals. Over all she was stoke with her finish. But she said it would have been better to advance to finals. That's ok... you did great and especially when your having fun out there!!
Nicole on one of her waves.

Devin surfed in the Menehune shortboard division which is the 11 and under. He advanced through four rounds and won a couple of heats in the process before the semi final. In semi final Devin ended up posting his highest score of the event, a 9.5! He was stoke with his score, but he was even happier with the announcement that he had won the semi. Then it was time for the final. The final was stacked with the best surfers from a cross the state and some great waves to be surfed. So the stage was set. All the kids surfed really well and it was just a matter of who was going to get the best wave. Devin had some great medium size waves but not the one he needed in the end. He just missed a solid four foot wave that could have possibly been a very high scoring wave. So he settle for the next wave that didn't open up for him in the closing seconds. After surfing four rounds and a semi final,  Devin ended up placing "3rd" in the HSA State Championships final!!!

We are super stoked for Nicole and Devin and their accomplishments this season.

"Our surf Family"

We want say thank you to Nicole and Devin's sponsors, friends, and family for the support and believing in them. We cant say thank you enough.
